Once upon a time, there was a jewelry designer.
The year was 2014. She was up to her elbows in Bridal Season and loving every minute of it. This lovely lady had a child who refused to stay put with all the walking, talking, running, jumping extravaganza that is toddler-hood and had a tendency to grab at pliers and other pokey and pointy tools and chase the cat around.
What was the jewelry designer to do? She didn't want to quit her business cold-turkey, so she searched for a way to still be able to play with gems and beads all day, but with less chances for ER visits for her toddler.
And 'lo and behold....she discovered that she had a full service bead shop IN her house....well, in her office to be precise. Look at all those beads, gems, findings, and all manner of pretty and sparkly things she has been collecting over the last 30 years. Maybe people would want to BUY them BEFORE they were used in jewelry...you think?
And so Reyna Red Supplies was BORN. And then, like many fledgling businesses (and cute little redheaded toddlers), it took OVER.
So here we are - Reyna Red Supplies now. A little older, a little wiser....and with even more beads and gems than ever before. Because they aren't for ME - they're for the business. That's what I tell my husband anyway....any time his eyebrows meet in the middle of his forehead, while on the way to yet another gem show.
So welcome....come on in...and form an orderly queue over by the door. I'll be with you in a minute. Stay tuned for lots and LOTS of new content and a new look as I FINALLY (I swear) conquer this whole blogging thing once and for all.
In the meantime - please check us out on Twitter (@reynared) or on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/reynared).

Who's Reyna?
- Leah
- Just your average redheaded smart ass who made jewelry & hair accessories for 30 years and then decided to switch teams. GO team Jewelry Supplies! On this side of the aisle, I can freely indulge my firmly held obsession with all things sparkly and gemstone-y. Is that even a word? When I am not buying gems & beads, photographing gems & beads, and talking about gems & beads...I live with my husband Thor and our equally redheaded daughter in a grand 'ol dame of a 100+ year old Craftsman in Omaha.
